HIV/AIDS remains a major global health issue that threatens the security, prosperity, and development of countries around the world. CAMRIS works with governments, multinational organizations, the private sector, civil society, and other partners to eliminate new HIV infections, increase access to and improve the quality of HIV/AIDS care, and control the HIV/AIDS epidemic. We provide technical assistance, training, and consultation on the development and implementation of HIV/AIDS prevention and management activities, and we monitor and evaluate activities to improve the effectiveness and sustainability of HIV/AIDS programs. Our experts work across health sectors, including reproductive health, maternal and child health, infectious diseases, health systems strengthening, and global health security.
Tuberculosis (TB), a contagious disease that can spread from person to person, is the leading cause of death among people living with the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), causing over one-third of all AIDS-related deaths in 2015, according to UNAIDS.
CAMRIS works with partners to integrate positive health, dignity, and prevention (PHDP) principles, practices, and values into HIV/AIDS programming. PHDP is a framework that promotes a shared responsibility for HIV prevention . . .
CAMRIS works to strengthen supply chain management and ensure adequate quantity and quality of medicines and other commodities for people affected by HIV/AIDS and other related infections.
CAMRIS experts provide leadership, technical direction, and advice on prevention of mother-to-child transmission (PMTCT) services.
CAMRIS coordinates, collaborates, and oversees family planning (FP) and HIV/AIDS integration program activities and supports compliance with FP and HIV/AIDS laws that govern integration activities. We work with government agencies, faith-based and community-based organizations, and donors.
