Supporting the U.S. Agency for International Development’s Bureau for Africa

CAMRIS continues to successfully provide technical assistance and support services to USAID’s Africa Bureau (AFR) and presidential initiatives, Power Africa, and Young African Leaders Initiative, in its offices in Washington, DC and overseas. Under the contract, CAMRIS recruits, hires, and manages staff to support the programs and operations of the aid agency bureau responsible for providing assistance to Sub-Saharan African countries on behalf of the United States. Staff provide broad development support in the areas of macroeconomics, democracy and human rights, agriculture, education, health, gender equality and labor productivity.

About the contract “USAID’s Africa Bureau Institutional and Technical Support Services,” Dr. Laurence Day, president and CEO of CAMRIS, said, “I’m personally thrilled to be supporting the Africa Bureau. As we know, the countries in Sub-Saharan Africa remain the least developed with the lowest human development indicators. The region is important to the US, and is home to three of the ten fastest growing economies in the world.”

“ . . . we look forward to providing the same high level of service we provide other USAID bureaus, offices and missions.”
