CAMRIS International was formed in 2003, when Clapp & Mayne, Inc. (CAM) Global Health Sector Consulting Group and Renaissance Information Systems, Inc. (RIS) joint projects and collaboration led to a merger of CAM staff and projects into RIS. CAM was founded in 1955 to modernize the management and administration of public and private sector organizations, gradually expanding its technical assistance services in international health developing over 40 years of continuous service to USAID. RIS was founded in 1997 to provide professional and technical resources to information technology projects in the US domestic health sector.
